LOCATION

Coricancha Alpaca Stud is located off Nine Mile Road, Napoleons ten minutes from Ballarat. Easily found, on top of 150 acres of rolling hills and scattered gums, the latter forming natural shelter belts.

The farm is approximately 800 metres above sea level.

The district has hot dry summers and cold winters with an annual rainfall of 680 mm. It's perfect for Alpaca and only 1 1⁄2 hours from Melbourne CBD.

The pasture is mainly native grasses, mixed with Balansia clover, ideal for breeding Alpaca and producing fine fleeces.

Numerous dams provide water via a reticulation system, feeding troughs in each paddock.

The boundary fences are similar to internal deer fencing made of titegrip, designed to keep predators away and all stock safe, maximising the investment.

The farm has paddocks for National JD MAP herd accredited stock and an approved untested area if required.

There are also pre-export isolation paddocks.
