OPEN DAY 2004
The 'Queens Birthday Weekend' Open Day was again held in 2004. Although it was wet and bitterly cold day the wealth of attendees was testament to the ever growing interest in Alpacas and the Alpaca industry. Gary Simpson again to spoke to a captivated crowd on the day. This year his subject of great interest was "Commercial Merino Flock Breeding" (it is available in our Education section). Also on hand during the day was Milton Dyer spoke about "Alpaca nutrition and the advantages of using Nutrimol". The sample provided by Milton to all the breeders that attended was greatly appreciated. The lively debate that followed each of the speakers relating to industry imperatives was also very interesting. Thank you to everyone that braved the cold and rain and helped make the day another memorable event. We look forward to seeing you again at our next open day.
